Candidacy Summit for those Seeking Certification
Any candidate that has met with their District Superintendent requesting admission into Candidacy is required to attend a Candidacy Summit. At this two day retreat you will meet other candidates, worship together, be introduced to the steps into Ministry, complete your psychological testing and be assigned a mentor and mentoring group. The two Summits available this year are below. Click on the link provided for the Summit you desire to attend and complete the registration form
The next scheduled Candidacy Summit for persons wishing to become certified candidates for ministry will be October 2nd and 3rd, 2020, at the Chiara center. The retreat will run from 1 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday.
If your schedule doesn't allow you to attend the October Summit, there will be a second Summit held January 1st and 2nd, 2021. More details on location will come soon.
The Summit enables participants to worship together, have a chance to ask questions and discern more about their call to ministry, learn about the process of ordained ministry and meet with their assigned mentor groups.

October Registration Deadline is: September 15. 2020.
January Registration Deadline is: December 10. 2020.
Cost is $325 (includes lodging, meals and the candidate's cost of their psychological assessment)
Prerequisites: For more information
• Read and discuss The Christian as Minister with their
pastor, campus minister or other clergy
• Write a letter to DS describing your call to ministry and
requesting an appointment to discuss your call and
complete required paperwork
Successful completion of a Candidacy Summit is required for all candidates for desiring the opportunity to be in ministry as licensed local pastor, deacon or elder.
